it's girl scout cookie season as everyone knows and these industrious girls are setting up shop in front of grocery stores, schools, parks and anywhere large groups of people congregate.
a local troupe had a table positioned near the front gate of mt twin's preschool. my son, who LOVES the ladies and cookies - a deadly combination, could barely contain his excitement over the potential girl and cookie action.
in trying to get the attention of the girl scouts, he unfortunately got the attention of one surly girl scout who is not upholding the code of the girl scouts. she turned on him and told him she'd poke his eyes out if he didn't leave her alone. he's 4. she's probably 8 or 9? has this girl no brothers or sisters? where is this girl's compassion? her understanding?
apparently she hasn't earned that badge yet.

kill the red pillow!!!
so i took my son, who is 4, to his first karate class at dawn barnes karate kids in santa monica. an otherwise happy, uneventful 1st class experience was marred by the asshat of a dad that kept yelling through the plate glass window at his feeble minded son to "kill it! kill it! kill the red pillow!" in reference to a red pillow that the kids were jumping on for the obstacle course part of class.
awesome part of this, is that the kids inside the dojo can't hear what's going on outside so it was just us parents that had to listen to the rantings of an idiot parental unit.

thanks
i went to a post-workout eat with my bestest friend and she has inspired me to start this new blog venture called "why are people so mean?"
i just returned from a 4 month soujourn in bristol, england and upon my return stateside, have come to realize that my fellow americans are just downright rude. embarrassingly so too. not sure if this is a side effect to living in los angeles or if this epidemic is nationwide but people, we got a problem here.
hence, why are people so mean?
i will be blogging all the mean people interactions i have here in los angeles. you are welcome to comment or even email me your own personal mean people situation to be posted on the site.
hopefully you'll get a good belly laugh and be thankful that you weren't me today!
